Packing Materials

We only use paper packaging materials to pack your order. All of these materials can be recycled or composted**.

 

PLEASE RECYCLE THE PACKAGING
 

Most areas of the UK have local collections for paper and card recycling so all you need do is place the packaging out for collection.  Alternatively, the packaging can be used to add important structural fibre to compost. Card and paper stops the compost turning slushy if you mainly compost fruit and veg. Just break it up a bit and add it to the compost!! Shredded card is particularly good for this.
 

The products we use are:

 

1. Cardboard boxes.

2. Paper "Fragile" , "Do Not Bend" and address labels.

3. Card tubes made from recycled card.

4. Paper packing tape.

5. Envelopes made from recycled paper.

6. Padded envelopes that are padded with recycled paper.

7. Card envelopes made from recycled paper.

8. Void fill made from recycled paper and or shredded card.

9. Tissue paper.

10. Corrugated card wrapping material.

 

 

**An exception are stop ends in the cardboard mailing tubes we use. These are Low Density Poly-Ethylene. We also may use Polypropylene strapping for large items, especially mirrors. These items should be removed and recycled or discarded separately. At the moment we haven't found any green alternatives to replace them.
