A magnificently impressive 'chandelieric' centrepiece d'amour and an
undeniably emotive proclamation of dark and eternal affection. Set amongst
the exuberant, classic acanthus leaf base, the turned central holder takes a
50mm diameter church candle, while each of the two revenant hands
demonstrably holds a crystal tipped wine glass in unquestionable service to
their master/mistress. This glorious hand-made masterpiece of design and
artistry comprises 13 separate castings, solder-assembled and hand polished
to a rich, antique lustre and weighing a full 2.2kg. Candle not supplied.

Strigoi
In Romanian mythology, strigoi are the restless souls of humans that wander
free at night, transforming into animals or phantom apparitions, to haunt the
countryside, troubling whoever they encounter. The strigoi can come from the
living or the dead, and are close relatives of the werewolves.
The strigoi that come from the living ( strigoi viu ) are often formed under special
circumstances when the host is born, such as being the seventh son or
daughter, or if the mother drank from water in which the devil slobbered.
The living do not always know if they are strigoi.
When the living strigoi dies, their soul will be unable to leave this earth
and they will continue to be strigoi ( strigoi mort ). Their body will not
decay. This unfortunate state can be avoided by driving a stake through the
heart before burial.
